Anna Alexander

2018 Fellow

Anna graduated from The University of Edinburgh with a degree in English Literature and Religious Studies. She has always been interested in how people’s stories are told and how best to reveal unheard narratives.

This belief in storytelling has seen Anna research the political power of short films, produce socially conscious theatre, and enjoy a year-long stint in production for film and television. She now wants to take a more active role in working with, and for, the people telling these stories. Most recently she has volunteered at a Dutch social enterprise which provided training to individuals with mental health issues, encouraging their integration into the workplace.

Anna hopes to use her knowledge and skills to work with vulnerable groups, and to ensure their voices are part of our national conversation. In her free time Anna can be found listening to the radio while working on her creative projects.
