Anna Warhurst

Autumn 2016 Fellow

Anna is a Social Anthropology graduate from Sussex University. She specialised in the anthropology of the body with a particular focus on studies of gender and sexuality, theories of emotion, and using experimental cross-disciplinary methods to document human experience.

Since graduating Anna has worked in a variety of roles to gain an understanding of different client groups and environments. She worked as a teaching assistant in primary schools supporting children with special needs. She also volunteered with a community project in East London, working closely with the management team to develop and achieve the project’s goals. Having a musical background enabled her to set up and run a community choir for the East London project and she also leads a music workshop in an HIV rehabilitation clinic.
