Ayshah Aziz

2017 Fellow

Ayshah is a graphic designer. Being of Irish-Pakistani descent she has always been interested in the co-existence of different cultures and their depiction in contemporary society. Conscious of the intimidating nature of terms such as Islamophobia, Ayshah illustrated her personal perspective on conflicting identity for her final project at Edinburgh University.

Since then, one of her projects Same Difference, a proposal for a scheme to reduce racial tensions within schools, was commended by the Royal Society of the Arts. Ayshah is interested in the potential of social campaigns on evolving digital platforms and how these can motivate an individual to do more than a Facebook like. She is excited by the idea of using the design thinking process and applying it to solve social problems. Ayshah also enjoys a good self help book and a healthy dose of reality TV.
