Chandni Hirani

2019 Fellow

Born and raised in Kenya, Chandni started her career at Accenture in London, before returning to Kenya to start a social enterprise called Kilimanjaro Green Energy that focuses on bringing affordable solar lighting systems to entrepreneurial communities in rural and urban areas.

She also works with Generation Enterprise, a non-profit working in Nigeria to unlock pathways to prosperity for urban youth in Lagos. Chandni is interested in immersing herself in the UK’s social sector and is passionate about tackling unemployment amongst communities that are affected the most. She is also interested in exploring the intersection of public policy and private sector with regards to this issue.

Chandni has a Bachelors in Civil Engineering from the University of Manchester and a Masters in Social Innovation from the London School of Economics.
