Flora is a designer concerned with social and environmental sustainability. Based in Bristol, she runs outreach art courses in which young artists teach a variety of vulnerable groups including children who have been excluded from school, recovering addicts and stroke victims.
Flora was a 2013 Fellow. She spent her frontline placement at Globe Academy, acting as a mentor to Year 10 students. At Globe, she designed an innovative foraging project, getting students out of their usual school surroundings into a very different environment. This was followed by a stint at Shift Surrey.
While studying Product Design at Glasgow School of Art, she founded Dementia Dog, a service that trains and provides dogs to support people who have dementia and will hopefully help to retain the independence of thousands of people.
