Freya Brocchini

2018 Fellow

Freya’s Anthropology degree was followed by her spending time in the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans. Volunteering at a grassroots charity, rebuilding homes and connecting with victims of Hurricane Katrina, reignited her passion and belief that local and international volunteering efforts are important in connecting communities.

She joins Year Here having worked in the Volunteering Team of Cancer Research UK. Grateful for the professional development opportunities, Freya is ready to challenge herself to go below the surface and help find socially-focused solutions.

Freya has a passion for cooking, sharing good food and dancing. She has lifelong dreams of learning Spanish, returning to New Orleans and living near the sea.
