Henry Naylor-Stead

2018/19 Fellow

Hailing from Yorkshire, Henry came to London in 2009 to study European Social and Political Studies at UCL. Whilst at Year Here he explored the intersection the worlds of co-operative working and start-ups.

Having first learned about co-operatives at university, he became convinced that they hold the solution to many of the issues facing young people in today’s economy through equality, democratic control, and collective ownership. This led him to working with Altgen, a worker’s co-operative that educated and supported young graduates and freelancers in setting up their own co-ops, who he worked for until 2017.
