Laura Bradford

Faculty

Laura began her career as a mainstream English teacher; a participant of the TeachFirst programme. She has since specialised in teaching children and adolescents with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. After several years working as a class teacher in a centre for primary aged children with significant and enduring social, emotional and mental health difficulties, she began teaching in an Adolescent Psychiatric Hospital and working as an outreach teacher in the community, providing educational support for children and young people with diagnosed complex medical and/or mental health conditions.

Laura is studying part time for an MA at the Tavistock Clinic. She has finally finished her first novel for children, which was inspired by the children and families she has worked with.
