Liz graduated from Cambridge University with a degree in Law in 2014. Since graduating she has worked and volunteered in a number of roles with the aim of understanding how her background in law and general advocacy skills can best be used in the community. She has worked as the European Executive Officer of a disability charity partnered with UEFA, helped to create an online, user-friendly guide to understanding politics during the Canadian election, and volunteered with a social enterprise that produces a magazine sold by low-income vendors in their local communities.
Liz has lived in Vancouver for the last 2 years, most recently working at the Legal Services Society of British Columbia providing Legal Aid services to asylum seekers, prisoners and families facing child protection issues. In her free time Liz enjoys singing, bouldering and attempting to keep her windowsill vegetable garden alive.
