Lizzie works at Voice 21, a charity raising the status of oracy in education which was born out of School 21, an innovative school in Stratford, East London.
During the programme, Lizzie was placed at Langdon Academy and with social enterprise Franklin Scholars. She also led a consultation of the enterprise programmes of Genesis Housing and explored an idea to use the peer tutoring to support immigrant students to learn English. She was mentored by John Paul Flintoff.
Before Year Here, Lizzie worked as abroad as an English Language teacher and whilst at University co-founded the York Union, a speaker and debating forum, encouraging students to engage with society’s most pertinent issues.
