Olivia graduated from Exeter University in International Relations and Philosophy, where she specialised in politics of the Middle East. Her primary area of interest has been the on-going refugee crisis in Europe and she has worked for various NGOs in Calais, Thessaloniki and the island of Samos, responding to the crisis since 2016.
Olivia’s interest in social change also led her to working with Exeter’s main homelessness charity throughout her degree, and with Macmillan Cancer Support after graduating. For the past five months she has been teaching English and carrying out essential relief work with an NGO offering humanitarian support and education to some 3000 refugees on Samos.
After working in the charity sector Olivia is looking forward to exploring a new approach to social change through social business and innovation.
