Sunil Suri

Autumn 2016 Fellow

Born and raised in the Midlands, Sunil has a degree in History and Politics from the University of Oxford. After graduating, he moved to the United States where he worked for The Carter Center, providing high-level support to President Carter’s mediation efforts in East Africa. Since then he has worked on a range of policy initiatives for the UK’s Department for International Development, Cabinet Office and Saferworld.

Despite forging a career focused on tackling conflict and insecurity, Sunil is keen to explore how entrepreneurship can be used to effect positive change in the UK amidst growing economic, political and social tensions.

He is particularly passionate about understanding potential solutions to homelessness and learning how greater investment might be encouraged outside of London in order to address disparities between London and the rest of the UK.

In his spare time, Sunil enjoys cooking, running, squash and dreaming up potential business ideas.
