In the last couple of years, we’ve launched 18 social ventures in fields as diverse as gang crime diversion, ethical fashion, homelessness and educational inequality. They’ve been recognised as Shackleton Leaders, Ashoka Changemakers, New Radicals and WeWork Creator Award Winners – as well as giving TEDx talks and being featured on BBC London and in The Guardian, Independent and Evening Standard. We are incredibly proud of their early successes.
Winter Crowdbacker 2017 is your chance to play midwife for the birth of the next crop of social ventures emerging from our venture lab.
Crowdbacker is run in partnership with The Funding Network and NatWest. After hearing each venture’s pitch we’ll ask you to pledge support in the form of cash (no amount too little!), time or assistance to help the ideas you’ve heard about get off the ground.
There will be drinks, nibbles and networking from 6pm with the main proceedings kicking off at 6.30, with the event closing at 9pm.
To secure your spot at Crowdbacker we ask for a £10 donation, which goes into the pot for the ventures on the night.
