Heather Labanya

Heather applied her background in research, social justice, criminal law and children’s rights to help Safer London continue to improve their support to young people and families at risk of violence and exploitation.

In particular, she co-led a project that developed an adaptable social and environmental impact strategy for a Biomaterials start up, Modern Synthesis, as well as conducting a number of interviews culminating in the development of an organisational culture toolkit to support their impact strategy. Heather now hopes to continue helping organisations and/or businesses with building health culture and social impact.

She is particularly interested in multidisciplinary approaches to social innovation concerning youth social mobility, criminal justice, human trafficking and homelessness.

Ivy McIntyre Baran

Ivy is an experienced facilitator who has previously worked with young people in national and international community-based settings. She has worked with young people in schools, development programmes and youth charities.

Harmony Chan

Harmony applied her background in investment banking to research and design a youth social action programme for a secondary school in Tower Hamlets. She also designed and conducted user research for Guy’s and St Thomas’ Foundation. She now hopes to bring together these experiences within the social innovation and impact investing sectors.

Harmony is interested in supporting young people, underserved communities and tackling education inequalities.

Tim Dee

Tim is interested in ESG-minded startups, ideally early stage; or social bodies (eg professional bodies such as ACCA/ICAEW, charities etc) looking to scale projects/ventures and build a healthy culture of innovation.

Tim seeks a long-term role with an ESG-minded organisation looking to scale, where he can apply his innovation experience and policy insights gained across startups, non-profits, FTSE 100 / Fortune 500 corporates, and financial services.

Marisa Bruce

Marisa applied their background in education to deliver innovation for Care City, a health innovator based in East London working on healthy ageing and regeneration. She also create an impact strategy for Modern Synthesis, a bio-material innovation company. Marisa now hopes to freelance and consult supporting organisations with outreach and facilitation work.

Marisa is keen to support organisations tackling educational inequality and supporting young people to develop skills to transition to work. She is passionate to support social mobility and have young people at the heart of its core.

Brian Li Han Wong

Born in Malaysia and raised in Canada, Dr. Brian Li Han Wong is a multidisciplinary global public health expert with 7 years of working in policy, governance, research, and science diplomacy roles at national, regional, and international levels. He has leveraged his communications, research, and stakeholder relations skills to enact societal change in the digital health sector. Brian is looking for opportunities to support businesses/organisations interested in digitally transforming health systems, public health innovation, health workforce training & capacity building (particularly in developing digital skills/literacy), and youth engagement.
