Afolabi was a 2017/18 Fellow, placed at Ark Globe Academy. For his consultancy project, he worked on a project for Orbit Housing, examining how social enterprises can win more public sector contracts. His mentor was Olly Offord.
Afolabi graduated from Queen Mary, University of London with a degree in International Relations. After graduating, he interned with Marsh before working part-time for the LIMUN Foundation as Secretary-General of the 2017 Conference. He then went on to pursue a Masters in African Politics at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), via an internship at the African Union Mission to the United Nations in New York.
