Alex Quattrone

2021 Fellow

Alex joined Year Here after six years working for a social and economic consultancy. He supported organisations to deliver projects and programmes to benefit local communities, using data and research to understand and articulate the causes and solutions to social problems.

He has supported a wide range of projects, including a regeneration programme for areas impacted by the London riots; a community park repurposing a disused railway in North London; and a workspace initiative in Bermondsey where space is bestowed every time land is purchased.

Alex believes the COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically exposed inequalities in the UK and demonstrated that society’s current system is no longer sustainable. He wants to drive forward a social enterprise that enables communities to rebuild their lives in new and better ways than before. He is interested in how community empowerment and community wealth building can help achieve this.
