Alice Roder

2019/20 Fellow

Alice has been working in non-profit fundraising, leading appeals and hosting receptions, lectures and events to grow the capacity of social justice and youth development causes. She has worked on a range of projects in delivery and income generation roles for charities.

Graduating from Queen Mary, with a degree in Geography and Politics, Alice has a Level 2 Qualification in Counselling Skills. At the Active Change Foundation, Alice facilitated Young Leaders Programmes in Islington, Brighton, and Walthamstow. The project, positioning young people as innovators tackling terrorism, was praised by Barack Obama in his 2014 UN General Assembly speech.

Joining Year Here from roles at the Scouts as a fundraiser and Resources for Autism as an autism worker, Alice hopes to explore her interests in developing cross-generational communities and mindfulness practices to address our mental health crisis.
