A year to test and build solutions to some of society's toughest problems.
Ayshah was a 2017 Fellow. Her frontline placement was with Bromley-by-Bow Centre and her consulting project was advising Soundings. She was mentored by Tori Flower. Whilst at Year Here she used the design thinking process and applied it to solve social problems. She also explored the potential of social campaigns on evolving digital platforms and how these could motivate an individual to do more than a Facebook like.
Ayshah took up a fellowship with Year Here after completing the project Same Difference, a proposal for a scheme to reduce racial tensions within schools, which was commended by the Royal Society of the Arts. Being of Irish-Pakistani descent she has always been interested in the co-existence of different cultures and their depiction in contemporary society.
