Becky Harrison

2022 Fellow

Becky joins Year Here following an undergraduate degree in Social Anthropology and over two years of work in digital communications, most recently for a charity representing UK sheep farmers. Growing up on the rural-urban fringe between Bristol and Bath, spending time on the farm her dad manages gave Becky insight into the importance of food security and access to sustainable produce. She lived in Tokyo for one year during her studies and also co-founded the University of Kent’s UN Women Society, aiming to improve gender equality on campus. In her spare time, Becky is a Family Learning Volunteer for the Royal West of England Academy where she has experienced arts workshops in community settings, observing their link with education and wellbeing. Social impact has always been central to Becky’s values. She is looking forward to taking on new experiences during the Fellowship and applying those to make a difference.
