Cameron Taylor

2021/22 Fellow

Cameron joins Year Here after 2 years at InHouse Records, leading a program of mentoring and musicianship that aims to reduce violence and fast-track rehabilitation in one of London’s high-security prisons. Alongside this work, Cameron studied the Foundations of Therapeutic Skills at the Metanoia Institute, London, to explore how best to support others facing hardship.

Whilst studying at the University of Edinburgh Cameron co-founded The Mindfulness Network, a community-based initiative that facilitates workshops and online courses exploring meditation and wellbeing.

Cameron is interested in the relationship between inner transformation and systems change and is inspired by the potential of social entrepreneurship to facilitate the transition towards a more equal, peaceful and sustainable society.

In his spare time, Cameron is an aspiring Jazz drummer and sees music as a powerful and necessary tool for communicating change.
