Having completed a BSc in Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience and an MSc in Neuropsychology, for the last four years, Denisha has been working as an Assistant Psychologist. She has undertaken a range of roles including developing a strategy to encourage more diversity in Psychology professions, running research with service users and staff to develop policy in psychology services and helping set up a psychological service for victims of London terrorist incidents.
Denisha has developed valuable communication skills in delivering psychological therapies to young people in their schools and adults in liaison psychiatry services. Most importantly through working directly with vulnerable people, Denisha has learnt about how social adversity and social injustice can impact people’s mental health and quality of life.
