Kate leads on policy development and advocacy with BOND, a global international development NGO. Her main focus is on growing collaboration in the development sector and working with NGOs to support them in campaigning for positive change. To do this, she is also responsible for representing the development sector when working with the Government and senior decision makers.
More widely, Kate is motivated by people and organisations seeking to deliver change. In her spare time, she supports social enterprises and startups to think about their social impact and how they can deliver on their mission. This led Kate to develop her own mission led venture, the OTR Collective, which is currently under very careful construction.
Kate is a keen traveller – having visited both Palestine and Lebanon recently – and enjoys experiencing new cultures to discover how advocacy works in different contexts. She is currently learning Arabic to help her learn more about the Middle East, and how language is important in connecting people to causes.
Kate previously studied Politics and International Relations at Bradford, and has worked for both Macmillan and Marie Curie
