Kevin was a 2017 Fellow. His frontline placement was with Bromley-by-Bow Centre and his consulting project was with East Thames Housing Association (now part of L&Q). He advised on the regeneration of the Gascoigne Estate and the development of Barking & Dagenham Renew, a new charity awarding funds to residents of Barking and Dagenham.
Kevin was an Engineering graduate from the University of Cambridge. After an initial foray into the world of software engineering, which included the development of a new smartwatch text-input method for his Masters project, he decided to redirect his problem-solving skills to address social issues. This led to a Balloon Ventures placement in Uganda, where he worked with small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs to develop innovative, sustainable business models. Kevin was passionate about both understanding the theory behind, and taking action on social change.
Kevin was tragically killed in a car accident on the 7th April 2018, aged only 24, with a bright future ahead of him. The Fellows, team and faculty who knew him best shared their memories and reflections in Remember Kevin.
