Lara Bander

Lara is a qualified English lawyer with over 5 years of experience in international dispute resolution. Lara trained in an international law firm in London and has studied in Paris and Geneva. Lara later moved to Dubai where she worked for DLA Piper for a number of years. Lara has experience in corporate investigations, banking litigation, arbitration and employment law.

She has taken part in a number of pro-bono legal projects in the Middle east where she advised NGOs and international organizations on laws in the Arab world.

Lara grew up in London to Iraqi parents. Her diverse upbringing has allowed her to meet people of all backgrounds and she speaks French and Arabic. Lara has a keen interest in developing the social innovation sector in the Arab world which she believes is a powerful tool for social change.
