Pastoral Lead

Laura is a teacher who specialises in working with children and young people with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Laura spent 10 years working as a teacher and pastoral leader in various specialist educational and psychiatric healthcare provisions in the London area.  She now lives in Paris where she has been supporting children with autism spectrum disorder in school and home settings. Laura facilitates LEGO®-based therapy sessions for children with ASD and speech, language and communication needs. She studied for a PGDip at the Tavistock Centre (Working with children, young people & families: a psychoanalytic observational approach) and plans to go on to complete a professional doctorate in child & adolescent psychotherapy. Laura closely follows the works of Professor Lynne Murray, Dr. Bruce Perry, Dr. Margot Sunderland and Dr. Sue Gerhardt relating to infant, child and adolescent mental health and social and emotional development. Laura writes fiction and poetry for children
