Gui was born and raised in Brazil, where he worked as a criminal lawyer with a former Minister of Justice for 6 years. Alongside his job at the firm, he worked in several pro-bono cases and, in 2019, co-founded Projeto Sê-los, an NGO that helps inmates to be reintegrated into society once they are released from prison. After interacting with both the government and the private sector, Gui understood the need that Brazil, and many other developing countries, have for systemic change and innovative solutions. Motivated by this, he decided to pursue a Master in Public Policy at the University of Oxford, from which he graduated last November. Gui is now particularly interested in how the use of social innovation/entrepreneurship can help to bring positive changes to society’s most chronic issues.
