Maddy Ford

Maddy was a 2017 Fellow. She was placed at Evolve as part of her frontline placement. For her consulting project, she worked with East Thames Housing Association (now part of L&Q) to consult on the regeneration of the Gascoigne Estate and the development of Barking & Dagenham Renew, a new charity awarding funds to residents of Barking and Dagenham. She was mentored by Natalie Campbell.

Maddy is an engineer, having worked on projects both in London and abroad. She has a Master’s in Civil Engineering and Construction Management. For her final year project at the University of Leeds, she researched and analysed the extent to which Millennium Development Goals relating to water and sanitation had been reached in Southern Asia. In addition to her project work, she helped set-up two initiatives: one supporting colleagues to carry out pro-bono work, the other being a partnership with Enabling Enterprise to deliver workshops to school children.
