Matt Lewis

Matt’s an impact measurement nerd. For him, driving social change comes down to data quality – how can progress be made without understanding day-to-day realities? He joins Year Here from impact performance start-up 60 Decibels where he developed the organisation’s Financial Inclusion arm – building new measurement approaches and products for the sector, as well as developing relationships with leading impact investors, fin-techs and microfinanciers. Growing up in London with parents from Belgium and Germany, Matt was inspired by different cultures from an early age. Apart from predominantly working with social enterprises in Asia and South America whilst at 60dB, he has lived in China, India and the US. Matt now wants to use these experiences to focus on social problems closer to home. Influenced by the pandemic, Matt is keen to explore how we can promote connection in urban spaces: facilitating compassionate understanding and boosting well-being as a society.
