Monica Pun

2020 Fellow

Born and raised in East London, Monica worked within the NHS and independent practices as a specialist Optometrist after graduating with a Masters of Optometry. Later she moved to Australia where she taught at the University of Sydney and led the learning and development department of a start-up eyewear brand.

Throughout her career she has volunteered and helped run community and training projects in Tanzania, India and Zambia with World Challenge Expeditions and Vision Aid Overseas.

Monica is passionate about driving change through sustainable and community-focused solutions and wants to better understand the role and positive impact of social entrepreneurship in today’s society.

She is an avid cultural traveller and has spent several months in South America, Asia and Australia. Monica also plays netball, does yoga, cooks all year round and runs her own travel blog.
