Phillip Kerry

Mentor

Phil is the Programmes Director at London Youth, which supports a network of over 400 diverse community youth organisations. With unique reach to over 75,000 young Londoners, they deliver programmes with and through this network in every London borough.

Phil started his career as a secondary school mathematics teacher. He went on to work as a VSO volunteer in Eritrea for two years before moving to the charity sector where he spent five years at the youth social action charity Envision as Director of Operations and Finance, and a year at the Young Foundation working at UpRising.

When not at work, Phil can be found taking long runs in or long walks outside of the capital, or eating the London A-Z, an attempt to sample every nationalities cuisine within the confines of the M25. The latter, alongside time spent mentoring refugees on his return from Eritrea, partly inspired his Ideas for London idea, Home, which sadly remains just an idea at present.
