Rachel Lewis

2018 Fellow

Rachel founded Plastic Shed, a recycling workshop bringing people together to make beautiful and useful things out of plastic waste.

Rachel was a 2018 Fellow. She completed her frontline placement with Kentish Town Community Centre and her consulting project with Hillingdon Council. She was mentored by Beatrice Burks.

Before Year Here she studied digital film production, working for a mix of NGOs and innovation agencies. Her film projects have focused on a range of subjects including life in limbo for Syrian refugee families in the Middle East; autism awareness in primary schools; social isolation and loneliness across the UK; zero waste supermarkets in Berlin; and life with epilepsy.
