Rosy Banham

Rosy’s background is in theatre. As a director, she has worked predominantly on new plays about contemporary social issues. Her latest projects have spanned topics from the gig economy to eating disorders and the wellness industry. Her work has been staged at venues across the UK, including Soho Theatre, the Arcola, Oxford Playhouse, Latitude Festival and at the Edinburgh Fringe. She has also worked as an assistant director on large-scale productions at the National Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Royal Court, Bristol Old Vic, Theatre Royal Bath & in London’s West End.

Alongside her theatre work, Rosy has volunteered for London Welcome Project, a social centre for refugees. She has programmed theatre productions and workshops for Crisis at Christmas and co-organised events for Wolf Whistled, a group which hosts ‘Days of Doing’ on feminism. she is interested in using the arts to effect social change.
