Sarena Shetty

Sarena joins Year Here from the fast-paced world of startups.

Originally trained as a chemist with a Master’s degree from UCL, she moved into the business world, working in operational roles in various early-stage start-ups and learning how to scale a business at speed.

Passionate about entrepreneurship, Sarena started her own business, FindDesign, a platform to connect consumers with independent furniture designers and makers, in 2017.

Drawing from her experience and learnings, Sarena is now on a mission to create a business that’s driven by social change and helping others over profit and is interested in how technology can be utilised for good. As a volunteer with AgeUK, Sarena is an advocate for the elderly and is keen to address the problems of loneliness and isolation.
