Tom Murphy

Tom was a 2017 Fellow. He completed his frontline placement at Anchor Care Homes and worked with Origin Housing as part of his consulting project. He was mentored by social entrepreneur, Alex Kenmure. 

Tom graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a degree in Psychology with Sociology. He joined Year Here after managing operations for home care facility in North West London, an organisation he had previously volunteered with to support the elderly and vulnerable within the Jewish community there. After two years, Tom then went on to work in children’s mental health, supporting the delivery of accredited courses for those wishing to become child counsellors. This combination of research and frontline work has furthered Tom’s ambition to drive for social solutions in his field.
