A year to test and build solutions to some of society's toughest problems.
Zahra was a 2018/19 Fellow. She was placed at Langdon Park School during her frontline placement and worked with Hillingdon Council as part of her consulting project. She was mentored by Shu-Fei Wong.
Before Year Here, Zahra completed a BEng in Medical Materials at Queen Mary, University of London. She then went on to work for Share Community, a London charity committed to improving outcomes for adults with mild to moderate disabilities. She worked on designing and creating resources to facilitate independent living skills amongst autistic adults, linking service users with social enterprises, and working one-to-one with higher needs service users to determine their complex needs and offer more tailored support. Zahra also spent time volunteering in rural Tanzania with Raleigh international, supporting young entrepreneurs with building microbusinesses.
