Zareen Ali

Zareen joined Year Here from the world of tech, having worked in product management and user research for startups in industries ranging from medtech to social media. After spending two years volunteering with youth organisations in east London, she studied for a Masters in Education specialising in educational neuroscience and developmental psychology.

Zareen’s focus is on promoting social equity through education for young people in underserved environments, such as alternative education and the youth justice system. Her aim is to learn more about the needs of young people in these contexts, with the goal of improving or dismantling the systems around them that prevent equal access to opportunity.
